PENGOLAH SINYAL is a DIY analog modular synth ensemble presentation project initiated by Lintang Radittya. Collaborating with several artists including: Indra Menus, Krisna Widyathama, Leilani Hermiasih, Andreas Siagian, Budi Prakosa (visual), Dale Gorfienkel (guest) and supported by JNB, Jogja Booking, Lifepatch, WENEEDMORESTAGE, and Kedai Kebun.
Roughly speaking, this project has been in preparation for almost 4 years, and the completion of all the instruments used in this presentation and practice took 2 months. Signal Processing is also the first time JAVANESE MODULAR has been presented in public.
The concept of this presentation is how to create a different discourse and perception of DIY synths which up to now (in Indonesia) have only been considered as unstructured noise instruments. Through this presentation, the audience is invited to enjoy a sound presentation from a DIY modular synth which turns out to be able to be composed into a sound presentation that can be more "enjoyed" by all ears.
Approximately 3 compositions are presented in this presentation, with interactive visual support from Budi Prakosa and guest artist Dale Gorfienkel who uses his mutant instruments. At the end of this presentation, the audience is invited to come into direct contact with JAVANASE MODULAR and play with it. Details about the modules used in the system and their presentation can be read here
